SivarAtri of SrI jaya year

దిక్కాలాద్యనవచ్చిన్న అనంత చిన్మాత్ర మూర్తయే
స్వానుభూత్యైక మానాయ నమః శాంతాయ తేజసే

dik kAla Adi anavicchinna ananta cinmAtra mUrtayE
svAnubhUti Eka mAnAya namaH SAntAya tEjasE

dik means directions representing space, kAla means time representing time in the form of past, present and future; Adi means starting. So, starting with space and time, every other physical element that makes up this world

anavacchinna means uninterrupted, unsplit, uncut, undivided; chinna is to break, split and interrupt, an- prefix negates it

ananta cinmAtra means infinite consciousness; anta means end, an- prefix makes it unending i.e., infinite and cit is consciousness mAtra emphasises ‘nothing but’ making cinmAtra is nothing but consciousness.
mUrti is the form

sva-anubhUti means one’s own realization (other than external sense perception or inference of mind) based on intution. Eka mAnAya = measurable only by such realization

namaH = (I) bow down in reverence

SAntAya tEjasE is that peaceful splendour, brilliance, light (I have described ​peace on medium)

So, the meaning of above verse is: I bow down to that peaceful brilliance which is infinity conscious beyond divisions of space and time, that can only be realized by one’s own self experience!

Such brilliance appears on every mAgha kRshna catrudaSi midnight which we call and celebrate as mahA SivarAtri. Wishing one and all an auspicious SivarAtri
